NewsClarity Names New Executive to Lead World-wide Sales EffortsChattanooga, Tenn. -- Clarity, a division of Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT) and the nation’s leading supplier of amplified telephones, today announced the promotion of Michael B. Freibrun to director of sales. Freibrun will be responsible for all sales strategy and management for Clarity, both nationally and internationally. As director of sales, Freibrun will continue to manage all of Clarity’s retail accounts, including national retailers, such as RadioShack® and Walgreens. A core focus for Freibrun will also be establishing new relationships and accounts within the hearing care market. Clarity last year introduced patented Digital Clarity Power™ (DCP™) technology in the world’s first amplified telephones specifically designed for clinical dispensing by audiologists and other hearing health professionals. “Not only has Michael been instrumental in growing Clarity’s sales in the retail marketplace, he has also led the growth of our specialized distribution network by building a world-class sales team,” said Carsten Trads, president of Clarity. “With Michael’s direction, experience and insight, there is no doubt he and his team will set a new standard in our industry.” Prior to his promotion, Freibrun served as Clarity’s national sales manager for the United States and Canada. Before joining Clarity, Freibrun served as a senior sales manager for the retail division of Plantronics, Clarity’s parent company. Freibrun and his family will relocate to Chattanooga for the position at Clarity’s world headquarters.
