Clarity Selects National Sales Manager

Clarity Selects National Sales Manager

July 1, 2004 - Chattanooga, Tennessee

Chattanooga, TN - Clarity, the nation's leading supplier of products for the hearing loss community, and a Division of Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE:PLT), has named Michael Freibrun as National Sales Manager, according to Carsten Trads, President of Clarity.
"With Michael's experience as Plantronics' senior sales manager, he understands how to build and maintain strong business relationships," said Trads. "His significant contributions to the company and success managing major accounts will help bring Clarity and its customers closer together."

For his position as national sales manager, Freibrun will handle all retail accounts nationwide. In addition to building superior relationships and developing enhanced sales opportunities with existing channel partners, he will also work to identify unexplored sales opportunities. A main focus for Freibrun will be the exploration of sales opportunities with health care focused national retail outlets.

Prior to this promotion, Michael worked as senior sales manager for the retail division of the eastern region for Clarity's parent company Plantronics, Inc., Santa Cruz, CA. During his four years in this position, he was responsible for managing ten manufacturer representative organizations, analyzing product profitability, monitoring the budget, and developing new business opportunities with retail and business-to-business channels. Previously, Michael served as eastern regional sales manager for Franklin Electronic Publishers, Burlington, NJ, where he managed 16 major accounts and over 60 secondary accounts, set up a corporate retail display program, and formalized sales and marketing tracking and analysis systems. He also served as eastern regional sales manager for MobileComm Corp., Jackson, MS, where he managed all major accounts, actively pursued new accounts and increased existing business through promotional initiatives.

Michael received his Bachlor's of Arts in both Marketing/Management and Retail/Sales from Bernard M. Baruch College (CUNY) in New York City.
